Josephine Novella McGlamery, 80, of Trenton, GA, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at her home.
She enjoyed helping others, sitting with the elderly and volunteering for charities. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Parton; second husband, Ray McGlamery, son, Larry Parton; parents, Ella Mae and Albert Bruce; brothers, Groover, Emmett and Herman Bruce; and sisters, Gladys Mull-Hasting, Bertha Whisant and Sarah Jenkins.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Lane-Patrick, Trenton, GA; grandsons, John Queen, Cape Coral, FL and Jason (Jennie) Parton, Chickamauga, GA; great-granddaughter, Courtney Lynn Parton; sister, Thelma Slaton of Chickamauga; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, in the chapel. Interment will follow in Sarah’s Chapel Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Monday, March 2 and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, who has charge of the arrangements.
