I'm Going To Miss The Delta Queen

  • Monday, February 23, 2015

I for one hate to see the Delta Queen set sail.

I wish our city would have embraced this beautiful treasure of the waterways rather than have taxed it.

The nautical history of the boat fit right in with the history of Chattanooga.

Some say that the boat was an eyesore.  If so, then why was it displayed on the side of the buses advertising our fine city?  How was this an eyesore with all the rusty barges stacked up and down our shoreline?

For anyone who missed a tour of this boat while it was here, I’m sorry.  You missed its beauty and history.

It will be very successful in Louisiana.

This reminds me of the old adage “You never know what you have until you lose it.”
