MainX24 Events At The Clearstory And The Granfalloon

  • Tuesday, December 1, 2015

Three events will be held at 400 East Main Street on Saturday for MainX24.

The Clearstory Carnival
The Clearstory development has been growing, and organizers are ready to show it off.  Guests may take a tour of the local businesses as they share and open their spaces.

From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. the Clearstory parking lot will turn into a human foosball game. The cost is $5 for two five-minute halves.  There will also be a life-size paint by number mural for all ages.

This year the entire building is coming together for a Carnival Crawl from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
To participate in the Carnival Crawl ask any business for a passport with a map of the building and all tenants will have a game for participants to play as they explore their space and shake hands.  The first 30 players to complete the Carnival Crawl will be put into a drawing and 10 winners will be chosen to receive prizes from the business on Monday.  They will also win a pair of tickets to Ice on the Landing, Chattanooga’s outdoor ice skating rink at the waterfront.

Free Family Holiday Dance Party
The family is invited from 12-2 p.m. to dance with DJ Scuba Steve and the gang at the Granfalloon.  DJ Scuba Steve will be playing music from all generations as well as some holiday classics.

Rollin' J's will be serving kid friendly food, including their famous freshly made cotton candy for sale.

Latin Dance Party with Carlos Colon
Dance and celebrate the Latin culture with Carlos Colon of Tropical Swing as he brings the hits of Latin Hip Hop and Club Music to the Granfalloon stage, DJ style, from 9 p.m.-midnight.  Carlos came to Chattanooga from Puerto Rico many years ago and started sharing his love of music with this community.  For those 18 and up, must have I.D. to enter.  The cover is $7.  Light food provided by Rollin J's, with cervezas on hand for purchase at the bar.
