A groundbreaking ceremony is set Dec. 15 for a $28 million investment in downtown Chattanooga.
The ceremony at 2 p.m. at 728 Market St., will mark the start of construction of a 10-story development by Atlanta's The Simpson Organization.
Both Mayor Andy Berke and County Mayor Jim Coppinger will be giving remarks and participating in the ceremony along with River City Company President and CEO Kim White and The Simpson Organization's Boyd Simpson.
Officials said, "At the ceremony, hear more details of the residential, commercial and parking development that is one of the largest developments to occur in Downtown Chattanooga in recent history and why The Simpson Organization is making a second investment in our downtown."
