Delores Virginia Friesen, 93, died on November 30, 2015.

Her two children, Barbara Farlik and Paul Friesen, her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren celebrate her life and love. Her husband, Paul F. Friesen, Sr. passed away in 2001.

She was born and grew up in the Pacific Northwest and during her life lived in California, Illinois and Chattanooga. She was always active in the life of her church, which for the last 20 years has been Tyner United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Margaret Pennington Class.

She enjoyed travel and visited many places in Europe, Asia and all but a few of the United States. A woman of sometimes, surprising wit she provided wisdom and special life experiences that contributed to the success of her children and grandchildren. She will be missed.

A private service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband. Later, we will celebrate her life with family and friends at Tyner United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 27, after the 10:45 a.m. service. Details will follow.

In place of flowers, those who wish may send a gift to Tyner United Methodist Church for its Care Bear fund.

Arrangements are by the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
