E.C. Barker, 89, of Decatur, Tennessee, died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Born in Wetumpka, AL, he moved to Meigs County in 1985 and retired as an electrician. He was very proud to have served our country in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra Crittenden and Mineola (Welch) Barker; and two sisters, Mineola “Mody” and Geraldine “Geri”.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years this Christmas day, Margaret (Johnson) Barker, of Decatur; two sons, Jeffery Barker, of Decatur and Michael Barker and his wife Robin, of Anaheim, CA; two daughters and their husbands, Leigh and Robert Faerber, of Birchwood and Suzanne and Lonny Elder, of Decatur; two sisters and their husbands, Ann and Robert Day, of Pell City, AL and Nan and Clarence Eurton, of Birmingham, AL; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

No services are secheduled.

Arrangements are by Bowers Funeral Home.
