Armed Man Attempts To Steal Motorcycle, Then Steals Pickup On Lee Highway

Chattanooga Police are looking for a man who attempted to steal a motorcycle, then stole a pickup, after firing a gun on Tuesday.

Just before noon, Chattanooga Police responded to the 5800 block of Lee Highway on a report of shots fired. The victim told police that a white male approached him, stole his motorcycle helmet, drew a firearm and demanded the keys to his motorcycle. The victim refused and began to fight with the suspect. The suspect then fired two rounds from the firearm. 

No one was injured by the discharge of the weapon. The suspect fled the area toward a nearby gas station.

The suspect then stole a gray Nissan pickup truck which was  parked at the gas pumps (TN License plate # 255-YBY).

The suspect is described a white male, 5'6"-5'10" tall, 140-170 pounds. The suspect was last seen leaving the area in the stolen gray Nissan pickup truck with "BnR Masonry" on the doors.

The suspect and vehicle information was BOLO'd (Be On the Lookout) to the Chattanooga Police and surrounding agencies.

Chattanooga Robbery investigators continue to follow all credible leads concerning this crime. 
 
Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423 698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
