Sale Creek Middle/High School Evacuated Due To Car Fire In Parking Lot

A 911 call was made at 7:30 a.m. reporting a car fire at Sale Creek Middle/High School at 211 Patterson Road.

The Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported a car fire in the parking lot. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire.

School officials evacuated the school due to the heavy smoke surrounding the portable classroom buildings.

No injuries were reported.

Sale Creek VFD Chief, Jimbo Aslinger, reported a 2001 Ford Mustang was on fire and will be a total loss. A Chevy Truck parked next to the Ford Mustang received heat and fire damage.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
