James Edward Miller, 68, of Menlo, Georgia, died on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Miller was born on Dec. 26, 1946, in Trion, Ga., the son of the late D.M. (Doc) Miller and Myrtle Estel Woodall Miller. He was employed with the Chattooga County Public Works Department.
Survivors include his wife, Carol DeLay Miller, daughter, Misty Burdick, Rome, Ga., step-son, Jeff Tomlin, Lafayette, step-daughter, April and husband, Lamar Dennison, Lafayette, brother, Jesse Lee and wife, Alisa Miller, Sister, Mary Ann Miller Wood, grandchildren, Tyler Burdick, Austin Burdick, Dustin Dennison, Jonathan Tomlin, Jesse Tomlin, great-grandchild, Weston Tomlin and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday Nov. 24, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Bishop officiating with interment in the Lyerly Cemetery. Active and honorary pallbearers will be employees of Chattooga County Public Works Department.
Mr. Miller will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 23, from 6-8 p.m.
