Pike, Larry Don "Snowball" (Athens)

Larry Don “Snowball” Pike, 55, of Athens, Tennessee, passed away at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga on Monday, Nov. 16, 2015.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Polk County. He had moved to Athens 2 years ago and was of the Baptist faith. His passions in life were working on cars and spending time with family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Pike and Dovie Plumley Pike; and one sister, Blondie Pike. 

He is survived by his children, Jimmy Pike and fiancée Katlin Wilcox of Benton, Michael Don Blackwell of Kentucky, Larry Don Pike, Jr., of Alabama and Jason Pike of Alabama; seven brothers, Lester Pike and Norma of Tellico Plains, Jerry Pike and Ginger of Delano, Wayne Pike and Brenda of Calhoun, Sammy Pike of Reliance, Bob Pike and Neicie of Decatur, Gene Pike and Nikki of Reliance and Mike Pike and Maria of Benton; two sisters, Linda Sue Russell of Delano, Donna Steinbach and Jerry of Delano; and other extended family and friends. 

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home of Etowah, with Bro. Pete Morgan and Bro. Johnny Wilcox officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Pike Cemetery. 

Serenity Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
