St. Timothy's Episcopal Hosts Advent Celtic Eucharist Service

  • Monday, November 16, 2015

The Chattanooga Flute Choir will kick off the first 5 p.m. Advent Celtic Eucharist service on Nov. 29.    The choir numbers about 28 players, making music with flutes of all sizes.  All the music will be from Celtic sources, and the liturgy will be drawn from the sources as well.  The one exception will be a flute choir/organ setting of a piece by Giovanni Gabrieli (1553-1612).

A Celtic ensemble will support the remaining Advent services at 5 p.m. each Sunday leading up to Christmas.

Services will take place at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, located at 630 Mississippi Avenue on Signal Mountain.
