Hixson, CCS Earn Soccer Shutouts

HIXSON 8 HOWARD 0 - Samantha Green had three goals in the Lady Wildcats 8-0 win over Howard on Thursday. Demi Defoor, Sydney Rigler, Peyton Burgin, Raven Smith and Leslie Lewis also had goals.  

Morgan Dupree had two assists. , Savannah Keef, Alex Swafford and Sydney Edelen each had an assist.  Hixson is now 11-5 overall and 5-1 in the district.  They play Marion County at home on Saturday at 11 a.m. 

CCS 3 CAK 0 - CCS traveled to Knoxville to take on CAK and came home with a 3-0 win.

  Olivia Hoffman had two goals with assists from Addie Henry and Laurel Kurkendal.  Addie Henry also had a goal assisted by Hoffman.  CCS led 1-0 at the half.  

Lucy Sandhoff earned the shutout in the goal.  CCS improves to 11-4-3 overall and will host Signal Mountain next Tuesday in the district 7A/AA semifinals.
