Tom Graves Votes To Establish Panel To Investigate Fetal Tissue Procurement

  • Wednesday, October 7, 2015
Representative Tom Graves issued the following statement after voting in favor of H.Res. 461, which would establish a special panel on the House Energy and Commerce Committee to investigate organizations that participate in fetal tissue procurement:

“The online videos of Planned Parenthood personnel discussing the sale of unborn babies’ organs and haggling over prices for different body parts are absolutely sickening. The legislation we voted on today creates a special panel with subpoena powers to investigate organizations that participate in fetal tissue procurement, including Planned Parenthood.
If the investigation substantiates what we see in the videos, criminal charges should be brought against any organization and its employees who participated in these gruesome practices.”
