The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, along with several community partners, sponsored the 2015 National Night Out Against Crime at the Cleveland YMCA to recognize and celebrate the efforts of Bradley County Neighborhood Watch groups.
Security professionals were available to discuss their products and services as well as provide door prizes, including three complete security alarm systems (two from ADS and one from ERMC) and a $20 gift certificate (from Legal Shield). Chief Mark Gibson of the Cleveland Police Department with Evie West and April Ratcliff were special guests, along with new CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Executive Director Josiah Vacheresse.
Ocoee Records Management was on site offering free shredding of up to 25 pounds of paper for each attendee. The evening was hosted by Lt. Bob Hancock and Chief Deputy Brian Smith of the BCSO accompanied by the command staff to partner together with everyone for a collective impact on the community and to build relationships.
Neighborhood Watch coordinators were presented with gift bags to thank them for their service to the community. The best part was having everyone come together for the common goal of taking an active interest in eliminating the risk of crime in their neighborhoods.
Freebies and information were available to everyone in attendance, as well as refreshments, provided by Crystal Geyser, Flowers Bakery, Walmart South, M&M Mars and McKee Foods. A special thanks went out to Walmart Corporate for their $300 grant to the BCSO Neighborhood Watch Organization.
