Larryen Cooper, 30, was arrested for aggravated assault after he allegedly hit and choked his ex-girlfriend while her children slept inside.

The victim said that Cooper came to her home on the 700 block of Castle Drive and parked in her driveway.

She said she was aware that he was coming and that she could meet him outside since her kids were asleep inside.

Once inside, he allegedly became angry, arguing that he should be able to come inside and stay.

The victim said that she then cursed at him which prompted him to hit her on the cheek with a closed fist. She said that he pulled her hair and began choking her by wrapping his arm around her neck.

Once he let go, she said that she was able to escape, scream, and call the police.
