Josephine Russell Griffin Patterson, 94, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, died on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family and caretakers.
She was a member of Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church for 43 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hamp and Bessie Russell; husbands, Bud Tyson Griffin and Bill Patterson;and three brothers, John, Ralph and Harry Russell.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Leland McClain; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and June Griffin, all of Tunnel Hill; five grandchildren, Julie and Bryan Boyd, Kristi and Billy Smith, Clay and Andrea McClain, Mandi and David Davis and Tyson and Renee Griffin; great-grandchildren, Karissa Jones, Taylor and Tanner Boyd, Reed, River, Falynn, and Finleigh McClain, Griffin,Stanton, Lawson and Milli Davis, Shataria, Ty, Henry, Ren, and Josie Griffin; and one great-great-granddaughter, Kirra Jones.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church with Rev. Tyson Griffin and Rev. Dewey Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Griffin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 12 from 5-9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tunnel Hill First Baptist Church Building Fund.
