Sandra Joyce Plemons, 64, of Rossville, died on Monday, October 12, 2015 at her residence.

Sandra was a lifelong resident of Catoosa County where she was a 1969 graduate of Lakeview High School.  After her high school graduation she went to Dalton College receiving her RN degree. Over the course of her 40-year nursing career Sandra contributed so much to the growth of home health and hospice in the North Georgia and Chattanooga area.  She had worked at Hutcheson Medical Center at the beginning of her career and went on to work for Hospice of Chattanooga, Hutcheson Home Health, Hutcheson Hospice, and most recently Countryside Hospice in Lafayette. Sandra had a love for people and she showed this love by taking care of them at a most difficult time. Sandra was very wise.  She had a jovial personality, a great sense of humor, and was very practical and genuine.   Her passions in life were her family and taking care of people.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Betty Catlett.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Alan Plemons; three children, David Edward Peace of Hixson, Dana Peace (Jim) Lewis of Chattanooga, and Zackary Plemons of Rossville; sister, Michelle Burgess of Ringgold; step-mother, Nancy Catlett of Chickamauga; sister-in-law, Carolyn Plemons of Rock Spring; and niece, Lindsey Burgess; and nephew, Justin Burgess.
