Creative Discovery Museum presents, Chemistry Fun Day: “Chemistry Colors Our World” on Oct. 24 from noon-4 p.m.
Guests will get the opportunity to explore the chemistry of dyes, pigments, and light by combining everyday materials and turning them into mesmerizing reactions thanks to the mighty power of chemistry. A wide variety of activities will be set-up throughout the Museum suitable for every age group.
“Chemistry touches every aspect of our lives from the complex reactions that occur in our bodies, to the products we use on a daily basis,” said Karen Dewhirst, Science manager at Creative Discovery Museum.
“Chemistry Fun Day is a unique opportunity to make chemistry fun, approachable, and relevant to children and their parents.”
Local chemistry clubs and chemistry classes from Chattanooga-area schools will be on hand to assist guests with experiments and talk to them about why they love chemistry.
National Chemistry Week is an annual event that unites the American Chemical Society with businesses, schools and individuals by communicating the importance of chemistry to the quality of life. This year marks the 28th celebration of the event across the world.
All activities are included with admission to the Museum.
