Camp Chair Cinema Jan. 9  
"Florida Wildlife Corridor: Everglades to Okefenokee" 
For our January Camp Chair Cinema, thisFri., Jan. 9 at 7 p.m., the Lookout Wild Film Festival will take us to the Florida Wildlife Corridor. Join a biologist, a conservationist, a filmmaker and a cameraman as trek, by bike, horse, kayak, SUP and foot from Everglades National Park to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge.
The 1,000 mile, 100 day journey highlighted statewide efforts to create and protect a wildlife corridor from the southern tip of Florida to the Alabama border. BYO-camp chair for this indoor screening. The movie and the popcorn are free. Watch the trailer.

Hike to Little Cedar Mtn. with the Nickajack Naturalist Jan. 10
Join the Nickajack Naturalist, Bob Butters, for one of his famous and informativehikes on Little Cedar Mtn. on Sat., Jan. 10. The 4.5 mile trek will feature newly opened segments of trail and some spectacular views of Nickajack Lake. Pre-registration is required. Learn to Ride a Bicycle Jan. 12
Adults and kids can learn the basic for keeping balance, steering, stopping and starting a bicycle at our monthly Learn to Ride a Bicycle class, happening on Mon., Jan. 12, 6 p.m. at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River St. in Coolidge Park. Rapid Learning Kayak Skills Practice Jan. 13
The Rapid Learning Whitewater Program will host a winter kayak skills practice onTues., Jan. 13, at 7 or 8 p.m., at Southern Adventist University Hulsey Wellness Center's indoor pool. Cost for the kayaking program is free for Rapid Learning members or first time visitors. A $2 pool entrance fee applies. 
Winter Workshop: Jan. 15 - Ease into Yoga - REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Our first Winter Workshop for 2015 is Ease into Yoga, on Thurs., Jan. 15, 6:30 p.m., at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River St. in Coolidge Park The class will give people of all ages a gentle introduction to Purna Yoga. Instructor Jayne Cagle focuses on techniques that encourage students to connect with their joyful selves. The workshop is free with pre-registration. $15 fee for walk-ups. To register,email Jayne, or call or text (423) 344-6501. Wear comfortable, warm clothing and bring your own clean yoga mat, as there are a limited number available to borrow.

Ease Into Yoga Series Jan. 21-Feb. 11
Continue Ease Into Yoga with a 4-week series on Wed. evenings, 6:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 21. Instructor Jayne Cagle will offer her special brand of joy-inspiring strength and relaxation techniques in longer, more focused classes. Cost is $48 for the whole series if registered by Jan. 20.  $15 walk-up cost. To register,email Jayne, or call or text (423) 344-6501.

Moccasin Bend Hike Jan. 10
Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park invites the public to participate in a 1.3 mile, 2-hour interpretive hike at Moccasin Bend National Archeological District on Sat., Jan. 10, beginning at 2 p.m. To join this tour take Moccasin Bend Rd. toward the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute and follow the Special Event signs. This hike will explore what life was like for the Mississippian Indians on Moccasin Bend before and after European contact. Wear comfortable, supportive footwear and weather appropriate clothing. Tennessee Sandhill Crane Festival - Jan. 17-18
The TN Wildlife Resources Agency and community partners will host the annual TN Sandhill Crane Festival on Sat. andSun., Jan. 17 and 18 at the Birchwood School, in Birchwood, TN. The festival features special seminars, activities, Native American music and speakers, and the starts of the show: thousands of migrating Sandhill Cranes at the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge.

We recommend getting on the water to see the Sandhill Cranes at the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge. The TN Aquarium's River Gorge Explorer will offer special Sandhill Crane viewing cruises on Jan., 9, 10, 11 and 16-19 at either 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.
National Park Service Fee Free Day Jan. 19
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will offer a fee free day at Point Park on Mon., Jan. 19. All park entrance fees, including commercial tour entrance fees, will be waived. This is a great opportunity to take in one of the most spectacular areas around Chattanooga for free!
