Woman, 80, Dies In House Fire In Rhea County

Rhea County Fire Department officials said one person died in an early-morning house fire on Saturday.

The victim was 80-year-old Joyce Burnett, who apparently died of smoke inhalation.

She lived alone at the brick residence on Fisher Road.

The call came at about 6:30 a.m.

State arson investigators went to the scene.
