Blue Man Group Invades Chattanooga OnStage

Chattanooga OnStage presented Blue Man Group from New York to the Chattanooga Live Music scene.  The anticipation of this event grew over the past few weeks after the announcement Blue Man Group would land their tour date in Chattanooga. I wondered as I do with some of the more unconventional (music-related) events if the people would be drawn to the curiosity of the performance or art and musical entertainment invasion.

The Chattanoogans and neighboring Alabamians and Georgians responded.

The masses assembled at the doors before the process of admittance began.  The past few years the security measures at Chattanooga OnStage facilities have altered a more quicker access but ticker holders seemed not to take the intrusion of checking hand bags personally.  Chattanooga is a growing, vibrant entertainment community and event goers accept the changes with each growth stage.  The doors are open.

The audience was thrilled as the Blue Man Group did more than entertain the full house for almost two hours.  Some audience participation made the event most interesting as several were reached from the crowd to be escorted on stage. The photos captured a small part of the production.

Blue Man Group’s critically acclaimed show has been called “visually stunning,” “wildly inventive,” and “hysterically funny.”  It’s difficult to describe, an intensely exciting and wildly outrageous experience that leaves the entire audience in a blissful, euphoric state. The communication was unique to say the least with no spoken language, Blue Man Group is perfect for people of all ages, languages, and cultures. This unique theatrical experience is like nothing else.
