Loretta S. Nash, 69, died on January 23, 2015 in a local hospital.

She was employed for many years at DuPont then served 24 years with the United States Postal Service before retiring.

She was a member of New Mt. Carmel M.B. Church and the IBPO Elks of the World and a member of the Order of Eastern Star PHA White Lilly Chapter 284.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Sygbee Nash; father, Percy Allen, Sr.; sisters, Sandra Powell and Shirley Fairbanks; brothers, Percy Allen, Jr. and Jerry Allen.

She is survived by daughters, Janice Nash Walker, Debra and Veronica Nash; son-in-law, Arnold Walker; grandchildren, Corey and Courtney Washington, Marcus Nash and Alden Smith; mother, Bertha Stoudemire; six brothers, Harold (Mary) Phillips of Decatur, GA, Percy, Charles and Calvin (Patricia) Stoudemire, Raulston Allen, Carlton (Delores) Allen, all of Chattanooga; four sisters, Joyce McClain of Detroit, MI, Barbara Allen, Brenda (Herbert) Dallas and Linda Bonner, all of Chattanooga; uncle, Jimmy (Linda) Allen; aunts, Ruby Issac and Willena Sampler; dear friend, Lillian Lewis; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Hawkinsville Baptist Church with Pastor Floyd Whiteside of New Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood-East.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, Jan. 30, and family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
