Viola Nettie Wooten Hamilton, 84, of Chickamauga, died on Tuesday, January 28, 2015.

She was born to the late Leroy A. and Rosetta reeves Wooten in Dekalb County, Al., before moving to Chickamauga at a young age. Nettie retired from Synthetic in 1993 after 20 years and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed. 

Nettie was also preceded in death by her husband, Winford Hamilton and son, SteveHamilton

She is survived by her children, Roger Hamilton, Leon Hamilton, Marty Hamilton, Vickie Hamilton all of Chickamauga and Patricia Hamilton of Crossville, TN; sister Jean Martin of Woodville, Al.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service time on Thursday.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel.
