Tennessee State Parks Announce 2014 Park Awards

Tennessee State Parks held its annual park awards at the 2015 Park Management meeting.

Parks throughout the state were recognized and honored for their work in 2014. Awards for innovation, customer service, interpretation and resource management were given to parks in in both the eastern and western regions of the state. Recipients included:

Park of the Year

·       Johnsonville State Historic Park

Excellence in Innovation

  • West TN: Cedars of Lebanon State Park
  • East TN: Cumberland Mountain State Park

Excellence in Customer Service

  • West TN: Reelfoot Lake State Park
  • East TN: Fall Creek Falls State Park

Excellence in Interpretation

  • West TN: Mousetail Landing State Park
  • East TN: Norris Dam State Park

Excellence in Resource Management

  • West TN: Radnor Lake State Park
  • East TN: Standing Stone State Park

Tennessee’s 55 state parks offer diverse natural, recreational and cultural experiences for individuals, families, or business and professional groups. State park features range from pristine natural areas to 18-hole championship golf courses.
