The Chattanooga Area Council of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, the social arm of the national service and leadership organization, held their annual installation of officers during a luncheon at the Tea Cottage on Sunday.

Incoming president Adele Shaw conducted the installation using the poem, “I Found You, Lord.”  ESA ladies are known not only for the hard work and service they provide to local non-profit organizations, but for their spirituality as well, said officials.  Officers were identified with various verses of the poem.

Installed were Junior Past President Ann Nelson, Delta Chi; Parliamentarian Connie Edwards, Omicron Mu; Treasurer Janice Gallaher, Gamma Chi; Secretary Shirley Walker, Alpha Beta; Vice President Betty Proctor, Alpha Beta; and new President Adele Shaw, Alpha Beta.

ESA philanthropic efforts include planning, implementing, funding and completing projects to aid local, regional and national non-profit organizations. All chapters support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and in 2014 Tennessee placed third in the country for most funds raised: $1,179,464.
