Karen Denise Salter, 48, of Rossville died on Friday, January 23, 2015. 

She was a lifelong resident of Rossville where she was a member of the Fourth Avenue Church of God. Karen was very friendly and loved her family. Her passions in life were working puzzle books, dancing, and coloring. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Onie Mae Salter; brother, Wayne Salter; and sister, DiAnn Madaris.

Survivors include her sister, Jo Ann Crowder; brothers, Chris (Holly) Salter and Donnie (Lora) Salter, Sr.; aunts, Sarah Bolan and Evelyn O’Neal; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Steve Brandon officiating.

Interment will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
