Office Furniture Warehouse announces OFW+Med, a new division offering liquidation and procurement of pre-owned clinical furniture for healthcare clients. Supporting services including installation, space planning, furniture reconfiguration, touch-up, cleaning, re-upholstery and hospital bed circuit board repair.
“OFW+Med got started out of a demand from our healthcare clients who were looking for the same kinds of deals on refurbished clinical furniture as they were getting on office furniture,” says John “JJ” Jerman, co-founder of Office Furniture Warehouse.
OFW+Med provide numerous clinical furniture items including refurbished hospital beds and stretchers. Some specialized beds selling for as much as $50,000 are available refurbished for $15,000. OFW+Med also has access to other items including wheelchairs and surgical lighting systems for OR and procedure rooms.
The firm recently provided re-upholstery for local medical practices, re-covering fixed four-leg medical exam tables and Midmark Ritter exam tables, both of which OFW+Med also offers both used and new built locally.
“This is an important service for medical practices squeezed by healthcare reform changes but still in need of quality clinical furniture at a reasonable cost. OFW+Med is also a sustainable option,” says Jerman.
