Attorney Graham Swafford Has Book Signing On Saturday

  • Monday, January 12, 2015

Local attorney and author Graham Swafford will be featured at a book signing at Barnes & Noble on Saturday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. at their Gunbarrel Road location.

Mr. Swafford’s book is titled Go to the Pound and Get A Dog … Then Learn to Fly an Airplane: Life’s Lessons Acquired by a Country Lawyer From the Courthouse Square to the Supreme Court.

The book is dedicated to Mr. Swafford's wife, Sharon.   All profits will go towards a Family Life Center at McKendree Methodist Church in Jasper, Tn.

Several years ago, Mr. Swafford explains, “facing old age,” he found himself in somewhat of a degree of depression.  No answer being readily apparent, Mr. Swafford decided to get himself a dog then learn to fly an airplane.

Mr. Swafford has now written his book, which has been a success, gone into a second printing, and been picked up by Barnes and Noble.

Although the profits go to the church, this is not an ecumenical tome.  He has written life lessons about religion, drinking, politics, depression, greed, marriage, philandering – you name it.  Many of Mr. Swafford's friends and family, from across the state, have written a “Life’s Lesson”  also contained in this book.
