Robert Goff, Emergency Response Coordinator for the Southeast Region of the Tennessee Department of Health, won the Distinguished Service Award at the Tennessee Public Health Association’s annual conference in September.
Mr. Goff has been a TPHA member since 2004 and served as President of the over 1,000 member organization in 2010-11. During Mr. Goff’s service to TPHA, he has been chairperson of the public policy and fun and fitness committees and is currently chairperson of the program committee.
He has also served as section chair for the emergency response section. Mr. Goff introduced TPHA to social media by starting a Facebook page and continues to keep it updated.
Mr. Goff is responsible for emergency response in the Southeast Region, which includes Bledsoe, Bradley, Franklin, Grundy, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea, and Sequatchie County Health Departments. He lives in Chattanooga with his wife Melissa and three children
