Chattanooga Symphony & Opera String Quintet
The Chattanooga Music Club will present the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera String Quintet in concert at the First Christian Church on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 2:30 p.m. The quintet will perform a variety of music from classical standards to modern favorites, showcasing their instruments.
The String and Wind Quintets of the CSO are composed of principal members from the orchestra. The CSO Quintets regularly perform in over 60 schools annually for over 20,000 students and perform in a variety of other community locations including libraries, hospitals, public parks, community centers, and Chattanooga businesses. Recently, the Quintets have also been engaged to perform regular series performances at the Creative Discovery Museum (PopTots Series) and Warehouse Row (Warehouse Row Series).

Since its founding in 1896, the Chattanooga Music Club has provided a variety of free concerts and awarded many scholarships for college music study to high school seniors. The Austin organ at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium was restored by the CMC, and two free concerts featuring the organ, the Patriotic concert and the Holiday Spectacular, are presented annually.
