Charlie Lamar "Pete" Henderson, 50, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Thursday September 25, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Henderson was born Jan. 8, 1964, in Lafayette, son of the late Charles Henry Lee Henderson and Nellie Jo Brown Henderson.

He was formerly employed with Bluebird, and was preceded in death by a sister, Michele Ledford.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Womack Henderson, children, Timothy Darrin Hughes, Marissa Cailyn Durham, Brittany Michelle Lance, Angel Loxondra Garmley, Charley Rae Henderson Ledbetter, Layla Cathleen Henderson, Heather Annette Chastain, and Barbara Jean Drakely; brothers, John Henderson, Roger Henderson, Allen Fincher, Shawn Ensley, Jacob Henderson, sisters, Karen Woodward, Holly Garbie, Kayla Burch, Alicia Henderson, Faye Henderson, and Henrietta Ensley; eight grandchildren and two on the way.

Funeral services for Mr. Henderson will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Subligna Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in the Subligna Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jackson Cornette, Dewayne Ledbetter, Ryan Hill, Skyler Moore, Stacey Womack, and Steven Womack. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mr. Henderson will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. He will also be in state at Subligna Baptist Church from 3:30 p.m. until the hour of service on Sunday.
