Firefighters Head Off Small Commercial Fire Monday Night

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a small commercial fire shortly after 9 p.m. on Monday at Southern Tool Steel, at 2726 Kanasita Drive. The fire was found in an air filtration unit, next to the main building.

Using a combination of water and foam, the firefighters had the fire out in roughly ten minutes. No injuries were reported. The loss was estimated at around $35,000.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
