Diane Slenker Burroughs
Diane Slenker Burroughs, of San Diego, California, died on September 3, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Kesselring Vonderheide, of Lookout Mountain, Ga.
She was born in St. Louis, on April 17, 1960 and spent most of her childhood in Walker, Ia., and Lookout Mountain, Tn. Diane was a graduate of Lookout Mountain Christian School (now Chattanooga Christian School). She attended Covenant College and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Diane served in the United States Navy for 17 years. She received a number of commendations for leadership, while in the Navy, but her greatest legacy is her children, Adria and Cory.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Adria Lovelace Foley (Sean), and her son, Cory Burroughs, both of San Diego; her sister, Judy Slenker of Chattanooga, brother, Jeffrey Slenker (Lee), of Memphis, sister, Bronwyn Slenker McEwen (Warren) of Lookout Mountain, Tn., stepfather, Jerome Vonderheide of Lookout Mountain, Ga., stepsister, Lori Vonderheide Ferguson (Michael) of Vinton, Ia.; and stepbrothers, Lee Vonderheide (Jeannie) of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Rolf Vonderheide of Jacksonville, Fl.
