Dalton Little Theatre announced auditions for “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Margaret Zeisig will be directing, with vocal direction by Bruce Arledge. This musical double feature which is based on the beloved Charlie Brown comic strips by Charles Schulz.
The characters are five to six years old; however, the show is cast with adults ages 16 and up. Those auditioning should be prepared to sing no more than one minute of a fully memorized Broadway-style musical selection that showcases your vocal range and, preferably, the joy, fun, and childlike spirit that the show exhibits.
Bring the music on your phone, ipod or ipad, the theatre will have speakers. Auditioners may also be asked to sing with an accompanist. Wearing appropriate clothing and shoes is also recommended for possibly auditioning staged dancing abilities.
All roles are open and ethnic diversity is encouraged. Auditions will be held at Dalton Little Theatre, 210 North Pentz Street on Sunday, Sept. 28 and Monday, Sept. 29 from 6-9 p.m. Call backs (if required) will be Thursday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
Production dates will be November 28 & 29 and December 5,6,7,12 & 13. The musicals are produced in cooperation with Tams-Witmark Publishing.
