Robertson, Frances Ann Hartwell

Frances Ann Hartwell Robertson, 71, of Collegedale, Tennessee, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2014.

She was born Feb. 10, 1943, in Medford, Or., where her father, a U.S. Army physician, was stationed before deployment to Europe in World War II. She spent her childhood in Orlando and Avon Park, Fl.

Fran received a BS in nursing from Southern Missionary College in Collegedale, and a MSN from Andrews University of Berrien Springs, Mi. Fran served in Seventh-day Adventist ministry in Kentucky, Iowa, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Pennsylvania. Later she returned to Collegedale, and taught nursing at Southern Missionary College. She spent the last 26 years as a nurse administrator at Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute in Chattanooga. 

Her memberships included the American Nursing Association, the Tennessee Nursing Association, the Tennessee Organization of Nurse Executives, the Business Network International in Hamilton County, and the Chickamauga Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Chattanooga.

Fran is survived by her brother, Ray Hartwell (Jeanie), her sister, Kathleen (Kay) Hartwell Carmicino (James), her husband, Linwood Robertson, her sons, Westley Robertson (Catherine), and Clinton Robertson (Connie), her daughter, Linnetta Boshers (Chris) and seven grandchildren.

Services were held on Feb. 23, at Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists, where she was a member.
