Taught For 30 Years In Chattanooga And Cleveland

Henrietta Bacon Prigmore, 91, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, September 19, 2014. 

She was born on July 8, 1923 in Cleveland, Tn., to the late Samuel Bacon and Venia Carson Bacon. 

She was a member of Renaissance Presbyterian Church. Henrietta taught for 30 years in both Cleveland and Chattanooga, and retired from the Hamilton County Schools System in 1977.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William C. Prigmore.

Henrietta is survived by her son, Neil (Kimberly) Prigmore, of Chattanooga; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Reverend Larry Griffith officiating.

The body will lie in state after noon on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
