Single Car Crash In Dalton Closes Waugh Street

  • Thursday, September 18, 2014

A single car crash Thurs morning damaged a power pole at the top to the Waugh Street hill near Dalton High School.

Power lines were across the road. Waugh Street is closed between Shugart Road and the western entrance to Manly Street and will be for most of the day as a replacement pole must be brought in from Atlanta.

Dalton High can still be reached from the eastern side of Manly Street and Waugh Street.

The driver in the accident survived, and authorities believe alcohol was involved.
