A man was arrested on multiple counts of aggravated robbery after attacking a man and woman outside a gas station on Wilcox Boulevard and taking their money at gunpoint Friday night.

The robber was later identified as 22-year-old Kamaari Vonte McCray.

The man and woman both said they were exiting the gas station when they were approached by two men.

They said the men asked them "if they were looking for some 'green.'" When they declined the offer, they said the men continued to follow them, talking about random things.

When they tried to turn around and go back to the store, they said they were forced to the ground at gunpoint by the two men.

While demanding money, police said the suspects pistol whipped the woman. Upon seeing this, the man attempted to fight back. He was also struck with the gun.

Both victims received lacerations to the head and were taken to Erlanger Hospital for treatment.

The total amount of money stolen was $10. The second suspect has not been identified.

McCray is currently being held on a $250,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear before General Sessions Court Judge Lila Statom on Sept. 30.
