Genora Jenkins, 93, of Delano, TN, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at her home.
She was a member of Delano Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H. B. Jenkins; son, Glenn Jenkins; parents, Ed and Cora Patterson; grandsons, Michael Ledford, Larry Jenkins II, Travis Jenkins; great-grandson, Christopher Michael Brown; son-in-law, Joe Ledford; brothers, F.H. Patterson and R.A. Patterson; and sisters, Irene Shelton, Annie Shelton, Stacy Nelms, and Katie Howard.
She is survived by children, Betty Ledford, Bobby (Sula) Jenkins, Larry (Darla) Jenkins, Vickie (Lynn) Bryan and Gloria (Bob) Johnson all of Delano, TN; grandchildren, Jason (Laura) Jenkins, Burt (Leslie) Jenkins, Robert (Stacy) Combs, Coby (Shelby) Johnson, Roxanne (Gerald) Frazier, Rita Plemmons, Ginger (Chris) Brown, Amy (Eby) Garwood and Allen Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Will Jenkins of Delano, TN and Ray Howard of Tyrone, GA; sisters-in-law, Mildred Patterson and Esther Patterson; several nieces and nephews; and special Hospice aid, Janet Corn.
A funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, at Delano Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Powers and Reverend Robert Combs officiating. Interment followed in Delano Cemetery.
Higgins Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
