Dalton Ghost Tours Is Friday

  • Tuesday, September 16, 2014

Dalton Ghost Tours will be held Friday at 8 p.m. with a live reenactment of events that led to Dalton's sole legal hanging.

One hundred years ago former Union soldier W.I. Umphrey came to Dalton in search of work. He found what he was looking for on the farm of prominent citizen Joseph Pritchett. What followed was murder.

The tour will start and end at the wooden deck, directly across from the Wink Theatre on W. Crawford Street in downtown Dalton. Tickets are $10. For more information call 706.673-2167.
