Leroy, Howard Paul (Jasper)

Howard Paul Leroy, 85, of Jasper, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in a Chattanooga health care facility.

The son of the late John Daley and Emily Cookston LeRoy, he was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Ruby Whitlock and Jean Milligan; three brothers, John D., Charles, and Richard LeRoy; and grandson, Corey LeRoy.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patsy Ross LeRoy of Jasper; sons, Mike (Donna) LeRoy of Jasper, Steve (Martha) LeRoy and Scott (Mary) LeRoy both of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jeremy LeRoy of South Korea, Christina (Terry) Barnes, Amanda (Wes) Thacker both of Chattanooga, and Elizabeth LeRoy of Chicago; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Terry, Lily and Emmy.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Jasper Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 5 p.m. Central Time with Reverend Mike King officiating.  Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 3 p.m. Central Time until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 111 Browder Switch Road, Jasper, Tn. 37347.
