Visitors coming to Asheville this fall can catch the city’s wacky side on LaZoom Comedy Tours, an experience as unique and colorful as the city itself.

Loved by locals and tourists alike, LaZoom Comedy Tours are a wild, raucous ride that showcase the charms of this beautiful mountain town, recently named "Quirkiest City in America" by Travel + Leisure magazine.

"Asheville is a very special place, and our tours reflect our love for this city and our love for laughter," said Jen Lauzon, who owns and operates LaZoom with her husband, Jim.
"From start to finish, our tours are a hilarious one-of-a-kind interactive experience for our guests. It's like nothing else."

Daily tours roll through the city’s historic downtown, beautiful neighborhoods and burgeoning arts district on LaZoom’s signature purple open-air bus. Along the way, tour guides entertain with a rollicking mix of Asheville history, cultural tales, crazy comedy and zany surprises.

"It's such a good time and great way to learn something about our amazing city," said Lauzon.

In the evening, LaZoom explores the city’s strange and sordid past on its Haunted Comedy Bus Tours. Guides Helena Handbasket and Ghoulish Gary share local tales of scandals, deceit, murder and ghosts - all punctuated with a bawdy bits of humor.

In November and December, LaZoom rolls out its Special Holiday Tour. Families and friends join tour guide Augusta Wind on a seasonal spin through the city, with appearances by off-the-wall characters like the little Lonesome Pine Tree and a traveling Gingerbread Man.

"You never know who you might see on a LaZoom tour or on the streets of Asheville," said Lauzon. "We have quite a cast of characters in this city, and we’re really proud to be a part of that."

LaZoom tours run daily through December. Cost is $24 (plus tax) per adult, $22 per senior and $19 per teen. Must be 13 or older to ride. Haunted Tours depart nightly through Halloween weekend and on select evenings through December. Cost is $21 (plus tax) per person. Must be 17 or older to ride. Holiday Tours begin Nov. 14 and run through December. Cost is $24 (plus tax) per adult, $22 per senior and $19 per teen. Ages 13 and up welcome on the Holiday Tour.
