The Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution participated in the Festival at Brainerd Mission Shopping Center.
The five DAR chapters Nancy Ward, Chickamauga, Moccasin Bend, Judge David Campbell and Chief John Ross provided the Manpower, along with the John Sevier SAR chapter, to showcase one of Chattanooga's historical sites.
The Brainerd Mission cemetery belongs to the DAR and SAR chapters and it is a centerpiece to educate today's citizens about the growth of the state. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of a bustling retail and business area that has grown up around it. The Cemetery is all that is left of a village that was home to Native Americans, African Americans and the missionaries who came to educate them.
The chapters gave tours of the cemetery and had a booth set up to provide additional information to the festival goers.
A separate booth was manned by students from GPS who are members of the Chief John Ross JAC . They were doing voter registration and also handing out information on the American flag and the Pledge of Allegiance
