Chattanooga State Kimball And Dayton Sites To Host Scholarship Saturday

Two Chattanooga State Community College satellite sites will open up their computer labs on Saturday to area high school seniors who can sign up for Tennessee Promise and fill out their college applications. This event is a part of a statewide Scholarship Saturday to encourage students to enroll in Tennessee Promise, the state’s new program that provides two years of community college or technical school tuition-free for any student graduating from a Tennessee high school.

Open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Dayton site is located at 200 4th Ave. in Dayton. The Kimball site’s new address is 2100 Main St. in Kimball and they will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Central Time.

Tennessee Promise Director Mike Krause said, “The Nov. 1 deadline to register for Tennessee Promise will be here soon, so we encourage students to sign up early.”
