East Hamilton and Central High School High School Choirs will present the 3rd Annual Hamilton County High School Choral Festival, taking place at Ridgedale Baptist Church, on Thursday, Oct. 2, and featuring Hamilton County Public High School Choir students.  Participating schools include East Hamilton High School, Central High School, East Ridge High School, Ooltewah High School, Howard High School, Signal Mountain High School and CSAS.

Cynda Holmes and Martha Boutwell, the Central High School and East Hamilton High School Choir directors, will present the Hamilton County High School Choral Festival for the third year.

The Hamilton County High School Choral Festival provides an opportunity for area choirs to work with clinicians in individual choir clinics, sight-singing workshops, and mass choir rehearsals with conductor Dr. Jonathan Rodgers of Lee University.  Students will have the opportunity to sing together in a non-competitive environment.  The festival will culminate in a free public concert where all of the choirs will perform individually and as a mass choir.

The concert performance is free and open to the public and will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, at Ridgedale Baptist Church.

“We are excited to bring our county choirs together as a large team to perform beautiful music for each other and an audience of community members," said Ms. Holmes and Ms. Boutwell.

The event is being sponsored by Chick-fil-A, Little Debbie and Coca-Cola, who will be providing festival lunch and snacks, respectively.
