Sylvester Daniel, Jr.
Sylvester Daniel, Jr., 51, of Chattanooga, died on Friday morning, September 12, 2014, in a local hospital.

He was the son of Evelyn Daniel and Sylvester Daniel, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Pecolia Stewart; mother, Evelyn Daniel; aunt, Mittie Watson; aunt, Minnie Watson; uncle, James Stewart, Jr.; nephew, Anthony Daniel.

He was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. And he attended Howard High School.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Daniel; step-daughter, Stacey Thomas (Michael); father, Sylvester Daniel, Sr. (Geraldine); two sisters, Vera Daniel and Clementine Daniel, all of Chattanooga; mother-in-law, Edna Moorer;  three sisters-in-law, Marlena Moorer, Betty Ray (Reginald), Beverly Glover (Erin), all of Chattanooga; three brothers-in law, Jimmie Moorer of Chattanooga; Sgt. James Moorer (Mary) of Hinesville, Ga.; T. Benns (Betsy) of Chicagol; three step grandchildren, Tracie Hayes, Casey Hayes, and Yvonne Thomas, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, at noon at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Floyd Whiteside officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, Sept. 19, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home 1101 Dodds Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 622-9995.
