Billy Eugene Clark, 78, of Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Friday, September 12, 2014.
He was born March 1 1936 to the late George and Willie Mae Clark in Birchwood, TN. Mr. Clark served four years in the US Navy aboard the USS Radford. After his honorable discharge he married Mary Lou Clark. He began working at Signal Plating in Cleveland where he retired after 30 plus years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Mary; a sister, Margaret Campbell; and twin daughters, Teresa and Lisa Clark.
He is survived by his daughter, Teena Ownby and her husband Tracy; his son, Gene Clark and his wife Kaye; grandchildren, Jamie Beckler, Erica Thomas, Dee and Ryan Dempsey all of Cleveland, Dillon Clark of Dalton GA., Ethan Shupe and Hannah Shupe, great-grandchildren, Shay Lindsey, Nevaeh Lindsey, Emilyn Beckler, Brody Dempsey and Hunter Thomas; sisters, Bessie Smith, Freida and Raymon Caldwell, Betty and Mitchell Gentry; and several nieces and nephews, whom were all dear to his heart.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Judy Davis and Wayne Howard for all their help.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 15 at the North Ocoee St. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Rev. Jackie Brown officiating. The interment will follow in the McInturf cemetery with Ryan Dempsey, Jerry Brown, David Wilson, Jayson Wilson, Mark Kinsey, Shane Kinsey and Dean Earby serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 13 from 5-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
