Stelzman Earns Accredited Senior Appraiser Designation

Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough announced that Matt Stelzman, ASA, CVA, MAFF, has successfully completed the certification process with the earned the American Society of Appraisers to earn the Accredited Senior Appraiser credential. Mr. Stelzman serves as a business valuation, litigation support and financial forensics expert at Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC.

“Matt is a great asset to our Forensics, Litigation and Valuation team at HHM,” says Randall Hebert, partner at HHM. “We are extremely proud of his latest accomplishments,” added Mr. Hebert.

The ASA credential is granted only to qualified individuals with considerable professional experience in the field of business valuation.  Earning the designation requires that the candidate successfully complete four intensive five day training workshops and related testing, have five years or 2,000 hours of business appraisal experience, submit a valuation report to be reviewed by two industry peers, and other qualifying criteria demanded by the Society’s International Board of Examiners.

Mr. Stelzman is a member of the NACVA litigation forensics board. The board has the responsibility of evaluating the content of NACVA’s litigation and forensics related curriculum to provide assurance that course content remains objective. The board also oversees credentialing criteria for NAVCA’s Master Analyst in Financial Forensics designation. 

Mr. Stelzman is a Certified Valuation Analyst and Master Analyst of Financial Forensics with experience in business valuation, litigation support and forensics. He has performed valuations for companies across a multitude of industries. His experience in litigation work includes personal injury, economic damages, lost profits, wrongful death and marital dissolution. He obtained his MBA and BS in Finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he now serves as an adjunct instructor in finance as well as Bryan College.  In addition to his time in the classroom, Mr. Stelzman also serves on the editorial board for the Valuation & Litigation Briefing/LVR which is a national business valuation and litigation support publication produced by PDI Global, a division of Thomson Reuters.  Mr. Stelzman resides in Hixson with is wife Amanda and their three children.
