Retired From Olan Mills After 47 Years

Mary E. Ladd, 71, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, September 11, 2014.
 
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was retired from Olan Mills with 47 years of service and was of the Presbyterian faith.  
 
She was the daughter of the late Francis and Velma Narramore and was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles Narramore; former husband, Robert Ladd and companion, Bill Bevis.  
 
Survivors include her daughter Lisa Ladd and Lisa’s fiancé, Jay Scott Riseman; sister, Betty McCoy, Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews. 
 
Mary never met a stranger and was a very kind, loving, generous and giving person. Even in death, she was still giving of herself through her organ donation, so others might live and have a second chance at life.
 
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, at Lakewood Memory Gardens East with Minister Sonia Burks officiating.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pet Placement Center in Red Bank at petplacementcenter.com.
 
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
