Elizabeth Louise “Bette” Brown, 92, of Ooltewah, Tennessee died peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2014 in a local assisted living facility.
She was born in Victoria, B.C. Canada and received her nursing degree from Emmanuel Missionary College. She worked as an RN and also taught surgical nursing techs at Kettering College in Kettering, Oh. As a homemaker she enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, making pottery and sang in various church choirs. She was a member of the Apison Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she cherished her relationships with her Lord and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clifton Brown and son, Pastor Jeffery James Brown.
Survivors include her son, Michael Brown, daughter, Betty Jo (Tony Johnson) Brown, daughter-in-law, Joy Brown, grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Brown, Beth (Brad) Lasley and Zachary Brown, great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Lucy, sisters-in-law, Martha Lukens and Peggy Leonard and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 5 p.m. at the Apison Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lester Coon Adventist School.
